Organic Cotton (Less than 1 kg)

Due to a world wide shortage of organic cotton fibre, there is currently a limit on purchase quantity.  Apologies for any inconvenience.

This product is certified organic through GOTS, (Global Organic Textiles Standard) certified by Control Union, a worldwide certification company. 

Organic cotton fibre has been cleaned thoroughly and contains no cotton bud.  The seed has been removed prior to importation, so that it does not require fumigation. It has been carded (process of combing the cotton to create a soft, fluffy  fibre) and is sold as loose fill.

Conventional cotton is one of the most environmentally unfriendly crops grown anywhere in the world. Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment.  Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture. Third-party certification organizations verify that organic producers use only methods and materials allowed in organic production.

The cotton we use is imported from overseas certified mills by our local Australian supplier.
