Eucalyptus fibre is a 100% plant-based fibre and fully biodegradable and is sold as loose, carded fill.  It is created through the fementation of the wood pulp and the fibre extracted.  It has exceptional natural characteristics for absorbency, hygiene and temperature regulation. Eucalyptus fibre is a highly efficient insulator, helping to keep you warm in cool weather and cool in warm weather. It is naturally hypoallergenic, thanks to its natural moisture management characteristics.

Because it releases moisture so quickly, it is very difficult for dust mites, bacteria, mildew and other common allergens to breed. Eucalyptus fibre also has a remarkable environmental profile. It is extracted from fast-growing, sustainably forested eucalyptus trees. Unlike cotton, eucalyptus requires little water to grow and thrives on marginal land unsuitable for agriculture.

Our Eucalyptus fibre is an imported product but sourced from a reputable Australian company.

Use this product for: toys, bolsters, cushions, pillows and pet bedding.

This is the first time I have used this filling & I really like it. I am using it for toys, and it feels lovely and soft, and it is easy to manipulate. Will purchase again

Works well as hypoallergenic; needs a lot of fluffing up.

    EUCALYPTUS FIBRE

I'm very happy with the product, it worked great for stuffing knitted toys. The only downside I had was that I ordered this particular product to avoid using plastic, yet it came packaged in two layers of plastic bags. I'd love to see sustainable packaging option too (please correct me if I'm wrong) Eco Filling Australia wrote: Thank you for your feedback Lucy. We are very cognisant of the fact that the plastic packaging is not environmentally friendly. A major problem is that we have struggled to find suitable alternatives to plastic, particularly when packing large volumes of fibre filling. We continue to research this and look for alternatives....

Will never buy Polyester fill again

I tried both the Eucalyptus and the Corn fibre fills. The Eucalyptus squashed down a bit more and was possibly a bit smoother whereas the corn was a little fluffier. Combining them worked perfectly for my projects (stuffing toys and small cushion). Would highly recommend - they are very much like working with polyester fill but softer and easier to shape. And of course, not made from petro-chemicals. Also, service was excellent
